Thanks Art. I think you have a good idea. It’s time for a change to hopefully breath new life into the LAQP. I dream of an LAQP with all 64 Louisiana parishes on the air!

Please do Marsh. I thought I had replied on the reflector. If we use the same weekend as the big multiple parties we won’t get lost. We may need to look at the exchange and modify it somewhat to be distinguished as LAQP. If you guys decide on doing it, I’ll help research the exchange info.

Marsh,

Why not go with the BIG weekend where there is plenty of activity -the 7QP and a couple others all gathered together. Even N1MM has a special program to allow stations to work various contests in the same log for that. We would end up with a lot more activity and FUN.  Just my thoughts.

The current weekend for the LaQP is not a good choice. There are two (2)
major contests that same weekend  - the Russian DX Contest and the BARTG.
Both have many ops participating.

There are 52 weekends in a year, and there is no reason not to pick a
weekend without major contests, and that has other state QSO parties going
on.
