Gentlemen,
It is now time to consider who we want to guide OUR club in the coming year.

Our current officers for 2015 are:
President: Steve, KG5VK, who is moving out of state
Vice President: Bobby, WM5H, who regularly makes meetings, but does not
desire the presidency
Sec/Treas: Scott, W5WZ, a charter member and officer holder since the
beginning. Would prefer to step down, but does not want the position to go
unfilled.
Director: Marsh, KA5M, who is willing to accept the same or other positions
Director: Ted, KN5O, who would accept the same position, but due to
circumstances, prefers not to take a higher position at this time.

While it would be great if ALL members could attend every meeting, we
realize that it is hard for some to travel as our meeting move around the
state. The President is pretty much expected to make "most" meetings, and
the VP should be there to take over in case the Pres is unable to make it.
The Sec/Treas should take meeting minutes for the club records, assist the
President with the budget, and handle all club funds and correspondence,
other than LaQP stuff. The two directors share their wisdom and experience
with the other board members, to help guide the President on matters during
and between meetings.

A club roster is available at the web site:
http://www.louisianacontestclub.org/members.htm . Because of the software
used, this list includes ALL members, past and present - some of whom are
no longer active. We are currently working to update this page.

On the club home page N5LCC.com there is a link near the top which will
take you to a form where you can nominate someone who you think would make
a good officer to lead us and hopefully generate more interest and
activity. Before you nominate someone, please discuss it with them and be
sure they are willing to serve, including making some meetings.

In about 2 weeks, the results will be tallied and the form will change to
a voting form, to allow members to select between all the nominees. A new
message will be posted requesting all members to go on and vote at that
time. You may also chose to come to the Pineville meeting on October 18 and
vote live.

I would be remiss if I didn't recognize Roland, NA5Q, a charter member and
webmaster from the beginning. He works hard to keep the club's web site
current and relevant - when the rest of us give him information on a timely
basis. Please let him know you appreciate his efforts.

On behalf of the election oversight committee,
Mark, K5ER
