[LCC] LaQP

Hi Guys,
	Well, the running of the 2014 LaQP is now history and the log 
checking begins soon. Since we were on the committee and will be 
doing the log checking, WM5H and I opted to run N5LCC, the bonus 
station, to give out extra points. Our log will be entered as a 
check-log. Although we didn't make as many as I would have hoped, we 
were able to activate 5 bands, and made contacts on cw, ssb and rtty, 
giving out OUAChita parish and a 100 point bonus to over 850. By the 
time Bobby left Saturday night, we had received 9 logs. By Sunday 
morning, it was 20 and by Sunday night, the count was over 35.

	We had great participation on the air, with lots of Europe calling 
in, and the logs are showing a lot of promise. We are currently 
working to have a "received logs" link off the LaQP.org page, and are 
looking forward to collecting many logs to be checked once the 
submission deadline gets here. Giving a quick scan to some logs, we 
see lots of LCC members calls in various logs, so it looks like many 
members got on the air to support the club's efforts. Thanks! More 
activity INSIDE the state is what drives those outside to want to join in.

	We have received some very nice comments and it looks like many 
outside the state are enthusiastically supporting our club and the 
changes we made to the LaQP. It looks like the date change was well 
received and allow much more participation. As promised, we plan to 
post a list of ALL entrants and their ranking within their chosen 
category. Additionally, the N5LCC log will be sent to our trustee for 
upload to LOTW, to help those who needed a Louisiana contact for any awards.
