[LCC] Finally, I'm on RTTY!

Well, its sort of like closing the gate after the cows have already left.
The NAQP RTTY was this past weekend, and now, on Monday night, I finally
get set up to run RTTY. On well, at least I should be early for the next one.

With no canned messages or macros, I had a conversation with N2MGT in New
York at about 40 watt level. I'm using AFSK, and with N1MM, have it set to
automatically go to AFSK (LSB) when within the rtty sub band, and change
back to regular cw or phone when in their respective sub bands. The Pro II
has a rtty mode, which seems to have much better filters, but AFSK was SO
much easier to get set up, at least for now. Currently, I will only be SO1R
on rtty, but may eventually get it working on both radios. Better learn how
to do it on ONE first.

I assume there is a "standard" exchange when not contesting, and another
much abbreviated exchange when contesting. Okay Charlie, Don, or some of
you Gurus, fill me in on what I should (or shouldn't) be doing before I
prove to the world that I know nothing about this mode.

73,
Mark, K5ER
