All -

First I want to take a moment and let you know how much I appreciate you
allowing me to participate as part of the LCC. Overall I had a great time.

Below are my results.

My goal was 400 Qs and 120 multipliers. I achieved neither so the goal is
still there for next time.

Like Rex I found the QRM to be challenging at times. I could never get a
run going that lasted more than 3 to 5 minutes. So frustrating. Another
challenge was having to chase the calls and exchanges down the screen
because of the liberal use of CR/LF.

Band QSOs Pts Mlt DX

   3.5 55 55 26 0

     7 210 210 48 0

    14 95 95 29 2

    21 15 15 6 0

Total 375 375 109 2

Score: 41,625

Again thanks for the opportunity to contest with you guys. I really enjoyed
it.

73,

Glenn

N5RN

PS: My final contact was with AL9A for AK and a new multiplier. That was a
nice finish to the contest.I only wish it had been on 80M so I could have
completed my 80M WAS RTTY.

Here's my meager results from Ohio: I worked the contest from 1800Z until
0500Z with 2 half hour breaks for a full 10 hours operating time. I had 274
contacts with 52 multipliers for a total of 14,248 points. My band
breakdown was: 15 meters - 7 contacts, 20 meters - 61 contacts, 40 meters -

121 contacts and 80 meters - 85 contacts. I worked each of the LCC team
members at least once. These numbers are hand calculated as the software I
use (Ham Radio Deluxe w/DM780) doesn't produce them.

Overall I enjoyed the contest a lot. My goal was 300 contacts which I
didn't make. The QRM was terrible starting out on 20 meters due to the
other contest which made it almost impossible to find a slot to run without
stepping on someone else so I did mostly S&P on that band. Once I moved to

40 meters my rate picked up because I could find a run frequency pretty
easily and it was the same for 80 meters. The noise on 80 meters was pretty
bad and I had some difficulty copying the calls and the exchanges. I also
got pretty tired towards the end of the contest, but being a member of the
team kept me pushing on. I'm sure I had a few blown calls and/or exchanges
towards the end.

I probably won't have access to email for the next week because I'm heading
to Franklinton, LA tomorrow morning to check on my winter home in EM40uv. I
hope to hook up with Dallas, K1DW while I'm there. If any of you are close
by Tuesday afternoon through Thursday, give me a call at 330-936-2192 and
perhaps we can have a quick eyeball.

Overall I really enjoyed participating in the contest as part of the
Louisiana Contest Club. Thank you very much for the opportunity.

73,

Rex, NX8G
