The meeting was called to order by President Mark Ketchell K5ER K5ER
extended welcome to members and guests, and gave a basic overview of LCC.
All introduced themselves.
Motion made by K1DW, second by KN5O to dispense with reading of minutes of
LCC meeting on 23 April 2011 in Monroe, LA. Motion carried.

Motion to accept Secretary/Treasurer Report by K1DW, second by KN5O. With
no objections, the motion carried.
New Business:
The LCC fiscal year currently runs July 1 to June 30. Some members have
been confused as to when they need to pay their dues. K5ER posed the
question if the members had any interest in aligning the fiscal year with
the calendar year. A brief discussion of pros & cons followed. This action
will require a by-law change.
Motion by K1DW, seconded by AD5W, to present a by-law change to align the
fiscal year with the calendar year. Motion carried.
Budget for period July 1, 2011 to June 30, 2012
Expenses
ISP/Web hosting $70
Internet banking fees $70
Existing/new contest plaque sponsorships $400
Door prizes for Dayton Contest Dinner $150
LCC table @ Dayton Contest Dinner $380 (fully reimbursable)
Total expenses $1,050 - $380 = $670
Motion by K1DW second KN5O to accept budget as presented. Motion carried.
Motion by KN5O second by AD5W for LCC to pursue sponsoring contest plaque(s)
in the ARRL DX CW / SSB / RTTY contests. Motion carried. W5WZ to
investigate and report at next meeting.
Motion by K1DW second by AD5W to purchase six Chef Hans Louisiana Gift
baskets as door prizes for Dayton Contest Dinner 2012. Total cost $150.
K5ER to complete task, and include LCC logo, credit, etc. in the shink-wrap
packaging. Motion carried.
Motion by N5NVP for LCC to make a donation to the ARRL LA Memorial
Scholarship fund. No second was made. K1DW suggested that N5NVP make the
motion on the LCC email reflector as a larger forum of LCC members.
K5ER requested suggestions for future presentation topics. A suggestion was
received for a presentation on N1MM Logger.
Next LCC meeting Octoer 8, 2011 at Pineville LA.
K5ER gave a presentation on K9AY receiving loops. See the LCC website for
the actual presentation.
K1DW reported that he was a guest op at WW4LL, and was able to tour both
N4QI and W8JI. He stated the big boys are really big!
With no further business to conduct, the meeting was adjourned.
