Comments:

Operated SO1R Started RU on time this year doing more running than s & p.
Was only able to work 18.5 hours due to unforeseen events. Several nice
surprises, first I used my homemade 33' 40m vertical for the first time and
found surprising strong signals compare to the beam. With the vertical I
made qso's 360 deg a pleasure; secondly, worked Sat. KB7Q MT 19:21z, W0CZ
21:39z ND and last state Sun. WY7FD 19:24z WY for all 50 states. Worked 8 VE
Prov.; Thirdly, calling me on 20m were JA's starting at 21:32z with NL7V
Alaska, UA0ZAM Asiatic Russia, DV1JM Philippines plus or DX. 40m was a big
surprise this year for me, DS5DYM & DS5DNO calling me at 13:50z. 80m was not
as productive for me, I need to work on a better antenna. Rig here is: Icom
7700, Micro Keyer II, Optibeam 12-4 yagi up 77 ft. and 80m Inv V at 60 ft.
