[LCC] Memorial Day Invite

Hi Mark and the rest of the LCC.....I will be attending the SouthEast 
VHF Conference in Charlotte, NC this weekend, so I will not be able to 
come to Monroe. 

VHFSouth will be holding its annual Memorial Weekend BBQ here in my area 
May 24th, Sunday.  There will be lots of great food, tours of my VHF 
contest station, and tours of Bill's HF contest station.  If the moon is 
favorable, I will have a demonstration of 2M moonbounce.....I will show 
how easy it is to get on and work a few EU stations just for fun on 2M.  
If anyone is interested, we can do a demonstration of digital Meteor 
Scatter on 6M too. 

The actual location of the BBQ will be at the QTH of Bill, N5YA, just 
north of Milam, TX on TX 87.  Bill is an HF contester who is building up 
an HF contest station at his ranch.  If anyone in the LCC has any 
interest in VHF contesting or seeing Bill's HF station, then you should 
"Come On Down"...as they say in TV land.  Please RSVP so we can get some 
kind of a decent count on how many will attend....we don't want to run 
out of food...HI.

If anyone needs specific directions, let me know via email and I will 
send them over.....If enough LCC members can come, you can have a "rump 
session" of the LCC over here.....
