</span><div><div class="h5">I've always enjoyed data analysis, sorting, parsing, etc. MS-Excel is one<br>
of my favorite pieces of software. Google Maps/Google Earth is another<br>
favorite.<br>

The SH5 Contest Log Analysis software is really cool, too! I like to<br>
document my ham radio activities on my website W5WZ.com. The site has<br>
become somewhat of my station journal, with most things being made public,<br>
but also a few things private where I can call them up as needed. SH5 makes<br>
it easy to create extensive analytical reports of contest logs and<br>
painlessly upload to a website for storage/sharing/archiving. I've run the<br>
past decade of my contest logs thru the SH5 software, you can find the<br>

In the recent 2.44 version of SH5, Dmitriy added the KML functions to<br>
display contacts on maps. Way cool! Love it! That got me to thinking, and<br>
led me to attempt something-an animation of the contest log.<br>
<br>
I used the SH5 KML file for all QSOs to create a lookup table in MS-Excel<br>
with CALL, LATITUDE, LONGITUDE. Next, I imported the recent<br>
NU1AW/5 log into Excel, and stripped it down to just HISCALL for each QSO.<br>
I retained the correct QSO order of the log, and did a VLOOKUP in the table<br>
created. Finally, with a lot of help searching Google, I created a HTML<br>
file with an API that drops a marker for every QSO in the log, in the order<br>
they were made.<br>

This condenses the 24-hour contest down to 252 seconds. It's very cool to<br>
