I think everyone did a great job last year. Fred, WW4LL, thought
that perhaps we should not try running on two stations early on in
the contest as that slowed the run operator. Well, there is
probably some truth to that. But every contest is different as all
of you know. I felt like we have done this enough to be pretty good
at what we do.. <br>
<br>
Error rate is obviously something we all can improve upon. In many
cases though, we do not get corrective feedback from the other
station when they should tell us if we got something wrong. So it
is incumbent upon us to do everything we can to make sure we get it
right.<br>
<br>
I think we just need to continue to "talk as fast as we can" so we
do not slow the other guy down. This is just going to take practice
and perhaps, a reminder placed where you can see it! Also, I've not
been doing much operating lately, so where we start will be largely
dependent on band conditions.. But frankly, I still think it comes
down to 20/15 in the beginning. We can make that call on game
day.. <br>

I'll get you guys the UBN report if it is available, but would have
thought you would have gotten it because you are shown as an op for
W5RU. I know I see K5QE's when it comes out because I was named an
op.<br>

Anyway, any other feedback is welcome and I'm open to changes.. <br>

Dear fellow members,<br>
During the 3rd meeting of the year, we open
nominations for the<br>
next year's officers. We then have a period - typically at
least two<br>
weeks - where nominations are accepted via our web site. The
only<br>
nominations received were the current officers, however,
Mike, AI5AA<br>
was directly affected by the flooding and has asked to be
excluded<br>
from the list. This leaves a Director's slot available.<br>
<br>
Although the "official" online window for nominations
has<br>
closed, the current board believes the floods are
extenuating<br>
circumstances, and would like to give the membership a
chance to<br>
nominate someone for this position. Members in good standing
may<br>
stand for election, so if anyone is interested, please drop
an email<br>
to me and I'll see that you are entered onto the list. Time
is short,<br>
as we should be opening the web site up for ELECTIONS any
day now.<br>
