It is on a hill named Beacon Hill on Google Earth. I will be 5 miles east of Animas, NM on Hwy 9 and about 2 miles south of the Hwy. The Lat/Lon is 31 55' 26.29N and 108 42' 01.47W. On Google Earth you will first see a 4 square array it belongs to FAA and next to it is a Verizon cell tower. I will have good phone and internet from my personal hotspot. If you look southeast of the 4 square you will see my personal protection. They man that hill 24 hours a day. They now have one of the big trucks that has daytime and nighttime cameras on it.

I'll see if they will let me take some photo's.

I plan to be there and active on the 4th that is the Sat before. I should be up and running about 7:00am Mountain Time. as we are 1 hour behind you guys. Hopefully the bands work there OK. Primary will be 6 meters and also 20 meters. On 6 will be calling at 50.125 and moving up probably to about 50.145. On 20 meters I will be on the County Hunters Net at 14.336. Or will just be calling cq from around 14.250. I plan to stay as long as I can that day. Would like to get good test on the location.

I will probably go up to the Gila Cliff Dwellings the following week and operate NPOTA.
