I've been using single transistor keying circuits for CW/FSK/PTT for years and years now.</div><div id="yui_3_16_0_1_1441420543765_3069" dir="ltr"><br></div><div id="yui_3_16_0_1_1441420543765_3069" dir="ltr">FSK and PTT will work on a USB-to-serial adapter, and CW might, but I've had trouble keying CW using a USB-to-serial adapter in the past. I think it depends on what kind of chipset is used in the adapter.
