Considering the conditions, you guys did outstanding.

I started out on 20M and made 104 QSOs in the first 54 minutes. After that,
my enthusiasm for the contest waned, and from then on, I played around
operating S&P only. When I got to 200 Qs, I shut down and went to watch TV.

This contest started very differently than 1 year ago, when our opening hour
was
219 QSO.  This year, it was 89.  We tried to start on 10 and 15, but could
not generate QSOs.  Both bands had lots of east coast and west coast
stations, that were loud, but could not hear us.  The bands were long.  We
moved off 10 to 20 quickly, but even there could not get anything going
early on.  Finally settled into a grove late in the 2nd hour, and by 2115 we
were starting to get in a grove.  At one point, we were almost 200 QSO off
last year's pace.  At the end, we were down 97 QSOs.

10 and 15 disappointed again, and even 20 meters did not generate the rates
of years past.  It wasn't a participation issue - there were plenty of
stations on the bands.

Congrats to those who finished ahead of us.
