Sorry to hear this news Charlie. He was a Hams best friend. Enjoy every
moment I spent with him at the shack. His call sign will be missed on the
air.

Let us know what the arrangements are.

I posted this in the CQ-Contest, so some may have already seen this once
today. However its with a terribly sad heart that I wanted to let everyone
know that Dr. Pat Sonnier W5WMU became an SK last night following some
complications. Pat was one of our LCC founding members and was arguably the
most active contester in Louisiana up until his passing. Maintaining 2 full
contest stations thousands of miles apart was a full time job that he kept
up well into his retirement years.

I will miss my friend and mentor terribly, wasn't a lot of time that passed
that we didn't talk on the phone or just drop a note to each other. I will
miss fixing his logs and his computers. I regret that I never made it up to
his station in Lubec, Maine. If you look it up, you'll see why. He was a
great guy, a great cheerleader, a gracious host to his station, a wealth of
knowledge of all ham radio subjects and just a great friend.
