Even on the small lot in Louisiana with the 480 foot beverage I had which
was only due east and due west

it was work every Spring, Fall, and Winter to keep the wires repaired from
falling tree limbs

That was a measly 9.0 RDF
The small 3 element Hi-Z vertical
there was more beneficial to me
with it ability to steer towards the other direction even with the same RDF
factor of a 500 foot beverage

Today's technology gives us large vertical arrays within a property area of
120 foot diameter circle if that circle has another 60 feet of clearance
tell it "sees" any other metal reflecting surfaces (light poles, metal
fences etc)
IOW if you have a clearing of 180 feet in a circle you should embrace these
low band vertical arrays, it will have you smiling !!! I am :)

These 8 Dx engineering brand or YCC 9 el array style sold by DXE provide
the same RDF (14.6) *with an amazing 40db F/B* that it would take for
Two 1,000 foot beverages spaced 400 feet apart,
which is a lot of land and the maintenance issues as well.

Who's playing this week-end in the NAQSOP ?

cheers!
