Hi Folks,
Our week for W1AW/5 is getting closer. We have from 00:00 June 4 through
23:59 June 10. We have had quite a number of operators express interest.
You do not have to be an ARRL member, but you must be within the
geographical border of Louisiana. Additionally, Louisiana Contest Club
membership is not required, but we encourage everyone to visit N5LCC.com to
check out the statewide club. To help split up the scheduling task, several
guys have stepped up to help.

For Satellite work, George, WA5KBH will be the contact. If you want to run
as W1AW/5 LA on the birds, get in touch with George at: <
gkcarr at go-express.net >

For CW, Bert, W5ZR, will be the contact. He and several LCC/FOC members
will be anchoring the operation and will be happy to add additional CW ops
to the schedule. The first two days and the last day are typically the
busiest, so the per hour rate and cw speed are usually highest then. We do
have a full week, so there will be plenty of slots available. Please
contact Bert at < W5ZR at hughes.net > to get on the schedule.

Currently, I will still be handling SSB, RTTY and VHF scheduling. If you
have an interest in one of those modes, drop me an email at <
w1aw-5 at k5er.com >.

I hope to work with our web-master and have a legible, easily updatable
spreadsheet on line before long. ANYONE wanting to operate as W1AW/5 la
must be on the schedule, as we are not allowed to have more than one
station on each mode at a time. Also, all stations will need to be able to
furnish ( by email ! ) a log file in .ADI format. N1MM and Writelog are the
preferred loggers for producing the correct .adi file. More info will be
posted shortly.

73,
Mark, K5ER
