"When 10 is open the path from East coast and West coast falls right on land
for us the signals fall in the ocean."
The height of your horizontally polarized antenna above ground determines
the take-off angle and how far away the first hop is. A 10M antenna at 100'
is probably way too high for 10M if you are trying to work NA and the
Caribbean.

Keith
very respectable score.
looks like from your part of the country 15 was useable and you capitalized
on it (good for you !)
of course 10 meters being the pits will be good for the middle of the us in
the Middle of the USA during ss
as it will be a bit easier for us to compete against East and West coast
When 10 is open the path from East coast and West coast falls right on land
for us the signals fall in the ocean :)
iow I am looking for us to place much higher this year
and of course Team LCC will be at Ted's (KN5O) and that is always a bonus !
cheers!

With 10 and 15 nil not much chance of a great score anyway.
But it's still fun to operate.
