[LCC] W5RU ARRL SS Phone 2011

Folks:

Just this morning the ARRL released info on all the claimed scores
for the ARRL SS Phone contest held this past month.  Members from the
DDXA and the LCC joined forces and made an all out push to "take the
lead" for this one.

While it appears we did not get close enough to take 1st Place nationally
for our Multi-Operator class, we are in a virtual tie for 2nd place with
K7IR (the folks from STEPP-IR).  Only 12 QSOs separate us, which is
well within in the margin of error for log checking.  I should also note
that our claimed score is just slightly ahead of W5WMU's Delta
Division all-time Multi-Operator record set in 1996, some 15 years ago.

Only time will tell (perhaps by this January/February we will know for sure)
but again, I want to express my thanks to all those that participated and
especially, to the members of the LCC that made this possible.
