[LCC] The 10-Meter RTTY Contest this weekend

Just a few reminders concerning the upcoming 10-Meter RTTY Contest this weekend.

The contest starts at 0000Z this Sunday, December 4th, which is Saturday evening in the USA/Canada.  This is a 24 hour contest with
no required rest periods.  It starts immediately after the completion of the TARA RTTY Melee.  The two contests do not overlap.
There will be no practice session.  You can use the TARA contest as practice.

This is a low power only contest.  The maximum allowed output power is 100 watts. There are only two categories - Single Operator
and Multi-Operator Single Transmitter.  Packetcluster assistance is permitted in both categories.  Anyone can work anyone.  Those
running high power may submit a checklog.

Rules are identical to ARRL RTTY Roundup rules.  Official rules can be found at:

Cabrillo logs are required and the deadline for submitting your log is 2359Z on December 15.  You can use the ARRL RTTY Roundup
module in your contest program since scoring is identical to the Roundup.  After the contest, you can simply send your Cabrillo as
is to 10rtty at kkn.net or you may edit the Cabrillo header and change the name of the contest from ARRL-RTTY to 10-RTTY.  Either way
is acceptable.

I will add a "Logs Received" page link to The 10-Meter RTTY Contest homepage.  This page will be updated manually so if you don't
see your call right away, check the next day.  If you don't see your call listed there within 24 hours of submitting your log, send

Ed and I are really excited about the contest and hope for good participation.  The solar flux is rising, so hopefully we'll have
good conditions. This is a great opportunity for those who run SO2V (Single Operator, 2 VFO's) to try your setup.  It's also a good
way to test your station and check propagation for next weekend's ARRL 10-Meter Contest.  Or you can simply enjoy the contest for
what it is - a 10 Meter RTTY only contest!  We only ask that you be considerate of those operating PSK up around 28120 kHz and other
digital modes that operate below 28080 kHz.  There's lots of room on 10 meters.  Suggested operating frequency are from 28080 kHz up
to 28200 kHz.  Although I doubt many will go as high as 28200 kHz, remember the NCDXF/IARU beacons run on 28200 kHz.
