Anybody else have any thoughts on the question below?

A few things come to mind:
1. Fishing line - with a needle (?) slipped between form and wire, then
over the top. Could pull wraps together tightly.

2. JB Weld - Looks and drills like metal, but is supposed to be
non-conductive. I heard you could "patch" things in an rf field, but have
not tested it myself.

3. Hot melt glue. There are 2 versions, cold melt and hot melt. Supposedly
the hot melt requires about 50 degrees (or so) more temp to melt and may
(?) stand up to Louisiana outside temps. Again, I don't know whether an RF
field would affect it or not.

4. liquid electrical tape - 4 ounce can available in the $4-$6 range from
any electrical supplier or big box home improvement store. Once coils are
in place, coat with this and it should stay. I hear that the black formula
of this is UV proof, and HAS been used on antenna by a number of folks.
This might be combined with #1 to get good tight coils that stay in place.

Best I have on spur of the moment. GL
